Accidental sudden loss of or damage to your personal belongings worn or carried on you or otherwise taken along in any kind of bag or case anywhere in the world. Max liability for each or a set of article shall not exceed S$2,000.

Claims

Policyholder will need to submit the completed claim form with the original receipts to AXA for the claims assessment. Please note that the claim has to be submitted within 30 days from the date of occurrence. If the claim is deemed to be late upon submission, AXA reserves the right to decline the claim.

Please submit the following documents (where applicable) together with your duly completed claim form:

  • Colour Photos of the damaged property
  • Original Purchase Receipts/Invoices
  • Assessment Report from repairer on the cause and extent of the property damage
  • Quotations for Repair/Replacement of the lost/damaged property
  • Original Repair/Replacement Invoices/Receipts/Credit Card Statement
  • Police Report.

You are advised to:

  • Immediately report to the police for any loss or theft of property.
  • Provide AXA the completed claim form within 30 days of the occurrence of such event. The claim form is available for download at AXA's website.
  • Provide AXA with all the help, information and evidence required in support of your claim.
  • Co-operate in securing the conviction of the offender if damage is caused by housebreaking, malicious damage, vandalism or other criminal act.

To file a claim in the event of a failure of any of the Eligible Appliances, you must:

  • Call AXA's Claims Service Team within 30 days to file a report, giving details of the problem and any information and assistance required.
  • Send the repair bill and completed claim form to AXA Insurance Singapore within 7 days of the repair.

Yes, cover will still apply limited to the items owned by you as you are the policy owner. Similarly, if you let out your house / room, the plan will not respond to the property of your tenants.

Yes, up to the limits specified in the policy - which is $3,500 per year with an excess of $50 applicable for each claim.

Worldwide Personal Belongings

Yes, provided that the reason why the item is damaged is not excluded in the policy, and you are able to provide supporting documents for the claim. Also, the amount payable is up to the limits applicable with an excess of 20% or $50, whichever is higher.

For this incident, you will need to provide us with the necessary claims documents - claim form, policy report on the incident, details to your lost items and original receipts of the new MP3 and new mobile phone which you have purchased. You may also like to know as well that for MP3 and other portable devices, there is a limit of $500 and for mobile phones, a limit of $300.

With that, you will be able to reimburse the value of your lost items up to the limits applicable with 20% borne by you.

So the maximum claimable in this case = $500 limit for the MP3 player less $100 excess = $400 and for the mobile phone $300 limit less $60 excess = $240. So it totals $640.

Extended Warranty

Yes. This would apply even if you opt for an installment plan.

Yes, though we would much encourage you to use your Citibank card for all your purchases, the extended warranty feature extends to all your home, kitchen and electronic equipments purchases over $500 on all credit cards.

In this case, you will need to get another quote from a repairer (2 quotes) and submit it along with the other supporting claims documents. Lifestyle Guard will reimburse you for the purchase of the new item with depreciation charge of 10% per year and a $150 excess.

However, the $150 excess will not be applicable if you were to reinstate your mobile phone (where repair costs are higher than getting the same phone) but a limit of $300 applies.

Payment

Unfortunately, this facility is only available with Citibank cards.

Certainly. When the policy is near the anniversary date, you can then contact AXA for the change of payment mode.

Renewal Process

Lifestyle Guard is a yearly auto-renewable policy with premium charged to your same payment mode every year.

AXA will be contacting you when we are unable to collect premium on your card. Should you like to make any changes to your payment mode, you may then advise AXA accordingly.

But if premium payment is not received by AXA by a certain date, your policy will be cancelled from the last anniversary date.

No, as long as the premium is being received by AXA, your Lifestyle Guard policy will remain in force with the first set of documents sent to you.
