Karmen’s Personal Tips
Happy International Women's Day! This year, I am teaming up with @CitiSingapore to share how I manage my finances.
As part of the “Your Wealth, Your Way” theme, I am going to share with you how I feel empowered by being financially
savvy and taking charge of my wealth, my way.
In 2023, one of my personal goals is to become more savvy at managing my finances.
Here are a few tips I’ve learned:
1. Getting super clear on your financial position - updating my total assets and liabilities every quarter.
(Tip: I use Citi PayAll feature to pay for my insurance and utilities. With payment of a fee, I can earn Cashback too).
2. Getting rewarded for my spending. For example, when I book bigger ticket items like flights and hotels, I can get cash back with every eligible purchase thanks to my Citi Cash Back+ Card.
Neethu’s Personal Tips
Are you a financially savvy woman? If you are like me, you want to answer this question
“Yes – of course I am!”, but in your gut, you are probably still unsure!
That’s why for International Women’s Day I have teamed up with my personal banking partner
Citi to share some tips on what we as women (and men too) can do to become more financially savvy!
- Set achievable financial goals for yourself, which includes saving, budgeting, and investing.
Think of both short-term, long-term, and contingencies. Don’t forget to think about insurance and retirement plans as well.
- Once you have your goals in place, it’s time to come up with a financial plan and invest wisely. This may seem daunting at
first, but don’t be afraid to ask for help! Seek advice from a trusted financial services provider on how to grow, diversify
and optimise your portfolio with a variety of products, which can range from Online Foreign Exchange (eFX), unit trusts,
equity trading, fixed income securities and so much more.
- Know your finances and take control! Make it a habit to review your accounts and investments on a regular basis.
I use the Citi Mobile® App and the Wealth Analysis Dashboard feature where I can manage my investment portfolio and
access insights from anywhere. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to easily manage your own finances and adjust your plan accordingly.
It’s "Your Wealth, Your Way" and it’s time to take charge of your financial future!
