What You Can Do
Email Security
Emails can be forged to look like they come from a trusted source.

Follow these simple precautions to protect yourself.
Be suspicious of any email with urgent requests for personal financial information. Phishers typically include upsetting or exciting (but false) statements in their emails to get people to react immediately.
If you suspect you've been sent a fraudulent email, contact your local Citibank customer service officer immediately or send us a secure mail after you sign on to Internet Banking.
Do not ever enter your account number and PIN into a pop-up window. Citibank login pages are always on a webpage and never in a pop-up window.
Never open email attachments from sources that you cannot trust.
Open emails only when you know the sender.
Always scan email attachments for viruses before opening them. If you are unsure about the source of an attachment, delete it.

Always remember what Citibank will never do in email correspondence.

1.) Citibank will never send emails to customers in order to verify confidential, personal or account information. Therefore, customers should not reply to emails that request such information.

2.) Citibank will never send emails to customers instructing them to login via a link on the email. Therefore, customers should not click on such links.
