Coming on the back of 2008 which was a strong year for us and given the challenges
that the market presented in 2009, Citibank Singapore Limited's financial
performance underscores the trust and confidence that our valued customers have
placed in us. This has enabled us to achieve broad-based growth across customer
segments and product lines.
Our commitment to Singapore has never been stronger. As a leading market player,
we continue to invest in technology and innovation to ensure that you enjoy
best-in-class products and services. We also remain committed to further
increasing our accessibility as we grow our presence here.
We recognise that we owe a large part of our success to the community we serve.
As such, we measure our success not only by the financial solutions we deliver
but also for the positive difference we make in the lives of Singaporeans. We do
this through our citizenship efforts which are focused on raising financial
literacy. Over the last eight years, Citi Singapore, through the Citi Foundation,
has given grants totalling more than S$7.6 million to support financial education
programmes here in Singapore and we continue to expand on our initiatives in this
area. Our most recent initiative was "Managing Your Wealth", a six-part financial
education series that empowers both our customers and the general public to make
better financial decisions. The complete series is available free online at
Once again, thank you for your continued support. We look forward to deepening our
partnership with you as we continue to offer innovative products and services to
serve you even better.
